Moving to Boston

Things have been a bit hectic in our little family lately to say the least. The past two months were a whirlwind but now we are here in Boston trying to get settled in to our cozy little apartment on the beautiful and prestigious Harvard Business School campus.
Casey and I spent one week here before traveling down to Georgia to visit family and attend Chad McClure and Pam Knight's wedding in Augusta. The wedding was well worth the wait (the couple has been together for 10 years) and it was a riot seeing all of my old high school friends (and enemies). Casey had a great time seeing his grandpa "pop" and my grandmother "GG" as well as his cousins Hannah, Wesley, Tripp and Joe. Unfortunately, the temperature was never below 100 degrees in the daytime so we weren't able to spend much time outside. We are planning our next trip down there for either Thanksgiving or Christmas when the weather is more bearable!
We arrived back in Boston today to a comfortable 63 degrees and Casey was able to spend an hour or so outside mowing the sidewalk all over campus. We also discovered a wonderful playground right outside of our building that was obviously built just for toddlers. Casey loved the miniature house where he could go in and open and shut the shutters and front door as many times as his heart desired! He also enjoyed the metal framed bus with real seats and a steering wheel. There were also tons of other fun features that he didn't even have time to take notice of since we had to leave for bath/bedtime. Now that we've found this great little park I'm sure we'll be spending countless hours there until it gets too cold. It's obvious from the short time that we've been here that HBS is an ultra kid-friendly place. There are at least 10 other kids on our hall and at least 4 of them are within a few months of Casey's age. I know that he is going to have a wonderful time here over the next 2 years.
Jesse is nearing the end of his 2 week analytics program and will be completely finished by Friday. Even though he has been incredibly busy with class, study group and learning team every day from about 8:30am until around 10pm with just a few breaks here and there, he seems to really be enjoying it. It's been a great introduction to the style of learning at HBS and has allowed him to meet a lot of fun and interesting people. Luckily, his regular schedule once classes actually start won't be quite as demanding! We are really looking forward to 9 days off between analytics and the start of classes. We plan to finish unpacking and get out and explore Boston with some of our new friends.

Stay tuned!!
